Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a highly versatile fuel.
Better for the planet and bottom line
Industry LNG can be broadly applied, opening up significant potential for customers worldwide. It can be used to add capacity to existing LNG production, or to create an LNG hub for marine, land transport or other industry needs, unhindered by traditional location constraints.
LNG facilities are, in essence, refineries for methane gas. They receive relatively “raw” methane gas by pipeline, remove impurities, and liquefy the refined gas for storage or export. Some of the impurities, such as water vapor and sour gas, are removed to meet pipeline specifications or because they damage equipment.
Benefit of LNG for Industries
Sustainable
Switching from oil to LNG can cut CO2 emissions by at least 20%3. LNG is moreover much lower in Sox and NOx emissions and emits only insignificant levels of harmful particulates.
Non-corrosive
As LNG is non-corrosive, it makes LNG the fuel of choice for businesses that operate sensitive or expensive equipment and machinery.
Safe
Safety is a top priority for the LNG industry, which actively minimizes risks at every step of the supply chain, resulting in the fact that LNG as an industry has an excellent safety record5.
Efficient
LNG has a high heat (or calorific) value of between 42 and 55 MJ/kg compared with alternatives such as oil (42 – 47 MJ/kg), LPG (46 – 51 MJ/kg) and diesel (42 – 46 MJ/kg)6.
Security of supply
When we fit a telemetry system to an installation, it gives us a live feed of the LNG level so we know exactly when the next delivery will be needed.

LNG Process & Distribution
Upstream
Natural gas is produced
from hydrocarbon
reservoirs, either onshore
of offshore
Natural gas is processed
(if necessary) and
transported via pipeline
to a lliquefation facility
Liquefaction
Liquefaction plants cool
natural gas to subzero
temperatures, creating LNG
In addition to liquefaction
facilities, LNG export
terminals maintain storage
and loading berths (jetties)
Shipping
Specially equipped LNG
carries (LNGCs) transport
LNG in its liquid form in
highly efficient, well-insulated
storage tanks
Regasification
Regasification (regas)
terminals unnload LNG into
their storage tanks. Regas
facilities then warm LNG
until it reaches its gaseous
state and can then enter the
pipeline network for transmission / distribution.
Downstream
Natural gas is distributed to
end users, such as power generators, gas utilities,
and industrial consumers.

Setting up LNG fuel stations infrastructure in India
LNG is much cleaner and efficient fuel, it is an excellent substitute for conventional fuels.
